Leather Care

Leather is a fascinating material with one-of-a-kind properties. Remember, leather is essentially skin; it can bend, absorb moisture and oils, and stretch. Like any valuable item, leather goods need regular maintenance to preserve their condition and extend their lifespan. Our products are crafted from the highest quality top-grain and, more recently, full-grain leather. Should you observe any small imperfections or irregularities, consider these as hallmarks of authenticity, not flaws.

Below are some suggestions for keeping your items in top-notch condition:
  • Watch for Liquids: Keep liquid containers secure in your bag, as water spills can damage leather. Avoid excess moisture.
  • Preserve Shape: Avoid over-stuffing your bag to maintain its silhouette.
  • Avoid Scratches: Keep the bag away from rough surfaces to prevent scratches or scrapes.
  • Buff Out Scratches: If scratches occur, gently use a soft cloth to minimize them.
  • Regular Cleaning: Wipe your bag with a damp-to-dry soft rag or microfiber cloth regularly.
  • Choose Cleaners Wisely: Never use harsh oils or alkaline cleaners on your leather.
  • Treat Oil Stains: For oil stains, apply a liberal amount of cornstarch and let it sit for a few hours to a full day; then brush off. Alternatively, simply use a leather degreaser.
  • Store Properly: Keep your bag in a dust-free environment when not in use, preferably in the original box or a dust bag.
